Very warm hello!
Here is a very simple yet delicious recipe for a pink orange/pink grapefruit pound cake. A perfect choice for a summer afternoon with friends. All you need to do is to collect a few ingredients and get yourself going! I am sure you will love the combination of flavors and colors!
280 g flour
250 g white sugar
300 g natural yogurt
150 ml orange/grapefruit juice (I recommend you to use a 1:1 mix, but of course you can choose to only use orange or grapefruit juice)
150 ml oil
2 and 1/2 tea spoons of baking powder
Orange zest from 2 oranges
Step by step:
In two separate bowls mix manually dry ingredients (flour and baking powder) and wet ingredients (sugar, natural yogurt, orange/grapefruit juice, orange zest and eggs). Then combine the ingredients by adding (in small portions) dry to the wet mixture. Finally, add oil, preferably in small portions and mix carefully everything with wooden spatula. Pour the batter into previously prepared, (filled with baking paper) baking form (22 cm). Bake in 180 °C for approximately 45-50 minutes or until the cake tester stock comes out clean. Decorate the cake with glaze (mix icing sugar with a little bit of orange/grapefruit juice) and fresh or candied slices of fruits. Bon appetit! :-)
